NBA All Star 2024 fan voting results have 4 things right and 4 things wrong so far

The initial fan voting for the 2024 NBA All Star Game has proved predictable, with LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo once again taking the lead in the East and West conferences respectively, mirroring last year's results. However, this year sees a return to the traditional East vs. West format, instead of the All Star draft both players participated in last year. Fans will be able to cast their votes for the NBA All Star starters till they're announced live on January 25th on TNT. All Star reserves will be announced on February 1. Fan votes account for half of the decision in determining the All Star starters, while the remaining half is equally split between player votes and media votes. The 2024 NBA All Star Game is scheduled to happen on February 18th, in Indianapolis at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The first update of the season's fan voting indicates that each conference will start with three frontcourt players and two backcourt players. With such a wealth of talent in the league, disappointment is inevitable for certain teams and their fans. As far as the first round of fan voting is concerned, what did the fans absolutely nail? And where did they fumble? Let's dive in and discuss.
