Natera says jury reached verdict of no willful infringement in Ravgen case

Natera Inc ( NASDAQ: NTRA ) announced that a jury has reached a verdict in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas regarding a patent infringement lawsuit brought by Ravgen Inc against Natera. Natera noted that the damages award of $57M was significantly less than the $410M Ravgen was seeking and the jury determined there was no willful infringement by Natera.

This decision will have no impact on Natera's ability to continue serving its customers; the patent at issue has expired. Natera said that it respectfully disagrees with the jury’s verdict and plans to file an appeal.
