Manchin: 'I love my country too much to vote for Donald Trump’

Sen. Joe Manchin (D W.Va.) said Sunday he would not support former President Trump despite having concerns about his own party’s leadership. “Constructive criticism. Let me let me make very clear: I love my country too much to vote for Donald Trump. I love my country too much and I think would be very detrimental to my country,” Manchin said when asked about his criticism of President Biden on CBS News’s “Face the Nation.” Manchin said he will have a better understanding of the 2024 presidential race by the time Super Tuesday rolls around, including whether there is an opportunity for a third party candidate to make a run.

“I think we’ll find out, you’ll just have to find out what’s going on,” Manchin said. “If there’s a movement if there’s a movement for third party, I think is what you’re asking about. Can that movement, make a difference?” “I’m not going to be a spoiler never have been and never will be.
