KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — The Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a 40 year old man reported missing Wednesday. The sheriff’s office said Logan Jacinto was reported missing shortly before 7 p.m. Wednesday. Officials said Jacinto had been involved in a crash at about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, in which the driver of the crashed vehicle ran away from the scene on foot.
Deputies said they searched the crash site near Highway 175 and Jiba Road around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday but could not find anyone in the wooded area nearby. Kaufman County deputies, Texas Parks and Wildlife officers, DPS Air 1, the Kemp and Mabank Fire Department dive team, and Kaufman police returned to search the crash site area, creek, and surrounding woods Thursday, but weren’t able to find anyone, officials said.
