Jonathan Majors to sit down with ‘GMA’ in first interview after guilty verdict

Jonathan Majors is for the first time since last month of assaulting and harassing his ex girlfriend. The 34 year old actor — who prior to the verdict — will appear on Monday’s “Good Morning America,” according to multiple outlets. Other ABC programs — including “GMA3” and “Prime” — will air other segments of the sit down later that day, followed by an “IMPACT x Nightline” special airing on Hulu on Jan.

The Emmy nominated “Lovecraft Country” star was found guilty in a Manhattan court last month of one count of assault in the third degree and one count of second degree harassment, linked to a March 2023 altercation with ex girlfriend Grace Jabbari. Majors was found not guilty of one count of intentional assault in the third degree and one count of aggravated harassment in the second degree.

He faces up to a year behind bars when he is sentenced in February. As he is a first time offender, he may avoid jail time entirely in favor of a noncustodial sentence. Majors starred in the latest “Ant Man” film as nefarious time traveler Kang the Conqueror, a role that also made its way into the Disney+ series, “Loki,” and was meant to carry Majors through several Marvel Cinematic Universe projects.

He was promptly fired from Disney owned Marvel as soon as the verdict came in. It’s unclear who, if anyone, will replace Majors. After his arrest, the “Da Five Bloods” actor’s talent manager and publicity firm severed ties with him and he was dropped from several projects..
