Amazon has an offer on the top specced Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 – the version with 1TB storage is discounted £300, which drops it to the same price as the 256GB model. On top of that, there is a £300 voucher for a total discount of £600. With the arrival of the Google Pixel Fold, OnePlus Open and such, the Z Fold5 is no longer the only horizontal foldable, however, both cost more than the Samsung foldable right now, even configurations with less storage.

The battery has 5,000mAh capacity and supports super fast 120W charging. It’s not quite a Xiaomi 14 but it’s close and the 14 isn’t available in the UK, anyway. However, the Motorola Edge 40 Neo is available at £250. It’s a very similar phone with a 6.55” 144Hz P OLED display and a 50+13MP camera, though this one has a weaker chipset (Dimensity 7030 vs. Dimensity 8020). It also has a larger battery (5,000mAh vs. 4,400mAh), but the less efficient hardware drains it quicker.
Also, the Neo lacks wireless charging – it does have the same 68W wired charging as the regular Edge 40. It has a 120Hz 6.5” P OLED with FHD+ resolution and a very similar camera setup (50+8MP instead of 50+13MP).
It uses a slower chipset (Snapdragon 695) and the 5,000mAh battery only does 30W charging. However, the battery life is much better on this one. The watches have ECG and blood pressure monitoring among other health tracking features. And the Classic has its trademark trick, the rotating bezel. The Samsung Galaxy Buds2 Pro are currently Samsung’s best TWS buds. They are very comfortable, go a long while before you need to charge them and have good ANC (with Voice Detect, which will automatically switch off ANC when you start speaking). This one has both Bluetooth and UWB (you need a compatible phone like the Z Fold5 or S23+/S23 Ultra). There is an NFC tag in there too, which can store your contact information in case someone finds it and needs to call you to get your things back to you. And for the more powerful laptops, you may need a 140W charger – or a power bank that can output 140W, which this Anker is capable of. It has two USB C ports and one USB A. With only one USB C in use, it can recharge a MacBook Pro 16” to 50% in 40 minutes. If two USB C ports are in use, they divide up the 140W.
