After Elden Ring's all round excellence, fans have been hoping for more of the same (not to mention new Elden Ring achievements ) ever since the game's DLC, called Shadow of the Erdtree, was announced almost a year ago. Now, movement on Steam has stoked hopes for Elden Ring DLC news. As noted by IGN , Elden Ring YouTuber Ziostorm posted on Twitter about an update on SteamDB for "Unknown App 2778580" (the last update at the time of writing was nine hours ago).
Ziostorm later noticed that the Bandai Namco Europe Elden Ring playlist had also been updated (this update was earlier in January). We're coming up to a year since Shadow of the Erdtree was announced . At the time, the devs showed a single piece of artwork and said, "Rise, Tarnished, and let us walk a new path together.
An upcoming expansion for Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree, is currently in development. We hope you look forward to new adventures in the Lands Between." We haven't heard anything since, and as the base game itself was released in February, fans are hoping its DLC will follow suit. We're yet to hear anything official from Bandai Namco or FromSoftware.
In the meantime, all fans can do is return once more to Elden Ring — one of the best RPGs on Xbox and, indeed, one of the top games for Xbox Series X|S ..
