Gary Schneider, the dedicated program coordinator at Macphail Woods, noted a stark difference compared to previous years.

"Last year, we had maybe two or three courses through the whole season. This year, we've had five already and we're looking at doing two more in the fall," he explained. This heightened interest is a direct reflection of recent devastating storms like Hurricane Fiona in 2022, which left a trail of destruction and highlighted the critical need for safe chainsaw operation.
