Mr Q Masters Venue: Alexandra Palace, London Dates: 7 14 January Coverage: Watch live on BBC TV, BBC iPlayer, BBC Red Button and online; live text coverage of the final on Sunday, 14 January Ding Junhui made sublime 147 maximum break against Ronnie O'Sullivan in their first round Masters match at Alexandra Palace.
Ding's sublime effort is his second 147 at the prestigious event but only the fourth ever. Kirk Stevens, in 1984, and Marco Fu nine years ago are the only other players to have achieved the feat in this Triple Crown event. It saw him trail O'Sullivan 4 3, having fought back from 4 0 down. However, O'Sullivan immediately responded with a century of his own and enjoyed a run of 93 to reach his 25th Masters quarter final with a 6 3 victory.
"[It was an] Unbelievable 147 from Ding," O'Sullivan said on BBC Two. "I knew he was going to do it from the second or third red. I was pleased to get over the line." More to follow.
