The series, , is streaming on the platform as of today, and takes “a nostalgic and poignant look back at the years when infomercials ruled late night TV, featuring interviews with the colorful characters who made these ads so entertaining.” “I am very proud to be a part of this project.
It’s easy to dismiss the Willy Lomans who hawked products on late night TV as nothing more than easy punchlines,” Miller says in a statement. “But shows us the humanity of these pitch people; who came from nothing and, armed with self belief and perhaps a fine mop, made themselves wealthy and famous.
It’s the ultimate American success story.” The three episode series includes interviews with some of those pitch people, including Suzanne Somers, who was interviewed shortly last October. Others featured in the series include Tony Robbins, Brooke Burke, Leeza Gibbons, and others. Miller, of course, has been on TV for decades, starting as a cast member on from 1985 1991, including as the host of the signature Weekend Update segment.
He also hosted his eponymous talk show for HBO, and programs in syndication and on CNBC. Miller is also one of a handful of outspoken conservative comedians, a number of whom have also signed on with Fox Nation. and have hosted comedy specials for the streaming service, while talent like Kevin Costner, and have hosted docuseries.
