Death of man found New Year's Eve deemed non criminal

The demise of a man discovered on New Year's Eve in Regina has been concluded as non-criminal, according to a press release by the Regina Police Service. This statement was issued on Tuesday, following an investigation in collaboration with the Saskatchewan Coroner's Service. In a past statement, the police mentioned that they were called to the scene in the early hours of December 31, near the 100 square of 4th Avenue East, following reports of a dead man. The ensuing inquiry, including an autopsy permitted by the coroner, was initiated once the man's death was officially confirmed. The recent update, which classifies the death as non-criminal, also mentions that the authorities will withhold the deceased man's identity.
