Over the past several years, Kansas City Chiefs fans have been rather spoiled. Beyond the on field results—the AFC championship appearances and Super Bowl titles speak for themselves—that success has made the club a fixture on national television. If you're trying to watch Patrick Mahomes and company from outside of the local market, it's been pretty easy.

But, in a reversal of fortune, this weekend's wild card game is much less accessible. While playoff games are usually national broadcasts, the Chiefs Dolphins game will be streaming on . That puts it behind a paywall. While fans were understandably irked by that move, at least one Chief is on their side: Charles Omenihu.

And the defensive lineman is putting his money where his mouth is in an attempt to help out. Once we learned that the Chiefs' opening playoff game would be streaming only (outside of the two teams' local markets), there were plenty of social media quips about the league trying to . Omenihu didn't have any jokes, but he did head online to voice his displeasure.

There's a brutal weather forecast on the cards, and fans could be excused for not wanting to sit in freezing temperatures after dark.

That game will be on local television, but plenty of fans live outside of the market boundaries. By offering to pay for some Peacock memberships, Omenihu is stepping up for the folks who cheer the Chiefs on every weekend. Now, it will be incumbent on the team to give those viewers a show on Saturday night.
