PTI File Photo The Union Cabinet on Friday granted approval to designate the Ayodhya airport as ‘Maharishi Valmiki International Airport, Ayodhyadham.’ Additionally, during the Cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a decision was made to confer international airport status upon it.
The inauguration of the airport took place on December 30, with Modi officiating the event. “The airport’s potential to attract international pilgrims and businesses aligns with the city’s historical prominence,” the release said.
