Bradley Chubb’s garbage time injury revealed and it could crush Dolphins’ playoff hopes

Bradley Chubb probably shouldn’t have been on the field late in a blowout loss to the Ravens, and the disastrous outcome has been confirmed : A torn ACL for the Dolphins’ star linebacker, according to ESPN . The injury occurred after the edge rusher chased after third string running back Melvin Gordon on Sunday in a 49 19 game with a little more than three minutes left.

This is a significant loss for the Dolphins, as they traded their 2023 first round draft pick and a fourth rounder for Chubb at the trade deadline last season. Miami also lost cornerback Xavien Howard due to a foot injury on the very first pass play of the game. He was carted off the field and did not appear to be able to put any weight on it. His status would appear to be murky at best for Week 18, and these brutal injuries have the Dolphins limping into a critical home matchup with the Buffalo Bills for the AFC East division title.
