BJP Plans nationwide live telecast for Ram Mandir consecration

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced plans to air the consecration ceremony in Ayodhya live at the booth level across the nation. The event is expected to take place on January 22, 2024. Party insiders have revealed that BJP workers have been directed to set up large screens to live stream the Shri Ram Consecration ceremony at the booth level. This move is made to allow the public to watch the consecration of Shri Ram Lala. “This approach will allow the public to have a glimpse of Shri Ram Lala and observe the consecration ceremony," the insider said. ANI also reported that workers have the option to distribute blankets, arrange community feasts or make donations in the form of food or fruits to assist the needy. The Indian Prime Minister is slated to be present at the Ram Temple's consecration ceremony on January 22. The Vedic rituals for the Pran Pratishtha (consecration) ceremony of Ram Lalla (young Lord Ram) are expected to start on January 16, one week prior to the main ceremony. Notably, Varanasi priest Lakshmi Kant Dixit is chosen to perform the primary rituals during the consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla on January 22 in Ayodhya. In addition, a grand 1008 Hundi Mahayagya is planned, with the goal of feeding thousands of devotees. With a huge gathering of devotees expected for the grand consecration, multiple tent cities are being set up in Ayodhya. The Sri Ram Janambhoomi Trust is preparing for an estimated crowd of 10,000-15,000 attendees at the major event. Local authorities are actively managing the anticipated surge in visitor numbers by enforcing strict security protocols and organising logistical provisions to ensure a smooth and spiritually-enriching experience for all participants.
