Bihar’s Vaibhav Suryavanshi 4th youngest Indian first class debutant

Listen to Story Bihar’s Vaibhav Suryavanshi, on Friday, January 5, became the fourth youngest Indian to make his debut in a recorded first class match. At the age of 12 years and 284 days, Suryavanshi stepped out to play for Bihar in the Ranji Trophy 2023 24 match against Shams Mulani’s Bihar at the Moin ul Haq Stadium in Patna.

Back in the 1942 43 season, Alimuddin became the youngest debutant at the age of 12 years and 73 days. Ajmer born Alimuddin played for Rajputana in the Ranji Trophy semi final against Baroda at the Maharaja Pratapsingh Coronation Gymkhana in Baroda. SK Bose made his first class debut back in 1959 60 at the age of 12 years and 76 days.

He played in the match between Bihar and Assam at the Keenan Stadium in Jamshedpur. Back in October 1937, Mohammad Ramzan made his first class debut at the age of 12 years and 247 days. Ramzan played for Northern India in their match against United Province in the Ranji Trophy match at the Baradari Ground in Patiala.

Suryavanshi played for Bihar in the 2023 edition of the Cooch Behar Trophy. In one of the matches against Jharkhand, he scored 151 runs off 128 balls with the help of 22 fours and three sixes. In the same match, he also scored 76. Suryavanshi also played in a quadrangular series involving India U19 A, India U19 B, England U19 and Bangladesh U19.
