Bayern Munich star Manuel Neuer showing no signs of slowing down

Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer is a marvel in so many ways. The 37 year old has fought his way back from a major injury just a year ago and looks extremely good in between the sticks for the Bavarians. “Overall, this year has certainly had a bigger impact on me than any before. It was a year of extremes.

Looking back, I’m actually grateful for a lot of things,” Neuer told Tz (as captured by @iMiaSanMia ). For Neuer, though, his career is at the point where he has to start examining exactly how much longer he feels like he can compete at a level he is comfortable with — and also how much longer the day to day grind is fun.

So far, the veteran has shown no signs of slowing down. “I still have sporting goals in mind that still need a bit of time. I never said that I would play until 40 — rather as long as I’m enjoying it, showing what I can do and that I’m needed,” Neuer said.
