Bayern Munich star Leroy Sané talks through his maturation process

Aside from a rough patch at the end of the Hinrunde , Bayern Munich star Leroy Sané was terrific. With nine goals and nine assists in 24 games across all competitions, the Germany international was both consistently dangerous and productive. However, the 28 year old knows that he has not always put forth the best body language or displayed the best attitude on the pitch.

It is something that he is continuously seeking to change. “In hindsight, I admit myself that I sometimes used to offer too many easy targets, into which dozens of things were then interpreted. You learn from that, though. You become more mature and develop a better sense for what’s going to come from outside,” Sané told FCBayern.com (as captured by @iMiaSanMia ).

“(I have) matured in every area. Back then I was 24, in January I’ll be 28. I think every person goes through a certain development in the maturing process at that age. I’ve had ups and downs in my career but I ‘ve been able to learn a lot from the downs. On top of that, I’ve become a father of two in that time, which also makes you grow up.” Sané’s reputation was well earned, but he is maturing into much more of a leader by example.

His effort and work ethic have been noticeably improved from his younger days and he is absolutely developing into the dynamic, global talent that many always thought he could be.
