‘Escape From Tarkov’ Bans 11,000 Cheaters And Reveals Their Names

Tarkov just owned a lot of cheaters. Escape From Tarkov , like most online shooters, has a problem with cheaters. But in an attempt to combat cheaters, the developers Battlestate Games just banned 11,000 of them and released their account names to shame them. The news was revealed on the official Escape From Tarkov X, formerly Twitter, account where the team shared that since December 27, they have banned over 11,000 cheaters in Escape From Tarkov .

This follows reports that some major cheat sellers were targeted in recent days, with their software being blocked by the BattlEye anti cheat that Tarkov uses. The announcement from BSG now proves those rumors were correct and that a major cheat seems to have been taken off the market. To make things even funnier, Battlestate Games has released a document with the account name of every cheater who was banned during this process.

So if you have been killed in a suspicious way in recent days and remember who took you down it might be worth taking a look at the document to see if you can see them. The news comes as community backlash towards cheaters has increased in recent days. As usually happens when there is a new wipe for Escape From Tarkov everyone is happy for a couple of weeks, and then starts complaining about cheaters .

Once again this has been the case, but some think this is the worst it has ever been, with popular streamer Pestily saying Tarkov is in the “worst state cheater wise ever.” While this ban wave should help things, the Escape From Tarkov Reddit and other community hubs are still full of posts about cheaters.

The most common seem to be those who have cheats to instantly headshot you in combat, or see where you are through walls. However, others are suggesting that hacks where a cheater can vacuum all the valuable loot to them are coming back after being a major issue in previous wipes. There will likely never be a permanent fix to the cheater problem in Tarkov, but ban waves such as this are a good sign and hopefully, cheaters will start to become less common.

The good news is that since the last patch , Tarkov has been in a great state thanks to new recoil systems, a brand new map and lots of other fun additions. With 2024 expected to be the year the game finally leaves beta , you can only expect things to get better..
