Adams County DA charges man with first degree murder in fatal stabbing

A first degree murder charge has been filed against a man wanted in connection with a fatal stabbing in Federal Heights. Adrian Carracedo Vega, 35, is on Dec. 30 outside the Tuscan Heights Apartments, 1700 W. 85th Ave., in Federal Heights. The Adams County District Attorney’s Office charged him on Friday with first degree murder, according to news release.
Carracedo Vega fled the scene and remains at large. Court proceedings will not begin until he is apprehended, the news release said. Carracedo Vega may be heading to Texas or attempting to cross the border into Mexico, according to a Federal Heights Police Department report at the time of the stabbing.
