Aaron Jones’ jersey sewn together after falling apart during monster first half vs. Cowboys

Aaron Jones was so busy tearing it up against the Cowboys on Sunday that his jersey started to come apart. The Fox broadcast caught the Packers staff having to sew up Jones’ jersey on the sideline during the second quarter. A member of the team’s equipment staff could be seen having to sew up a hole on the right shoulder of Jones’ jersey as he sat on the bench.

“Listen, when you’re getting hit and you’re running through people, sometimes you get a little hole in the jersey. You gotta stitch that thing back together,” Fox play by play man Kevin Burkhardt said on the broadcast. He added a third after the break. Jones ended the game’s first half with 12 carries for 30 yards and helped Green Bay score on their opening drive. The Packers’ back capped the 12 play, 75 yard drive with a three yard touchdown run after bulldozing his way into the end zone for the game’s opening score.

Jones then ran towards the crowd and tossed the football into the stands to his twin brother Alvin Jones before running back to celebrate with his teammates. Jones found the end zone again early in the second quarter when another short rush put him in the end zone and the Packers ahead by two touchdowns.

An interception put the Packers in prime field position and three plays later, Jones again forced his way into the end zone. Jones was able to bounce off one tackler and then surge forward for the score with 14:15 left in the first half. The first half of the game belonged to the Packers as they put up 27 points, with Dontayvion Wicks also scoring and Green Bay scoring a fourth touchdown on a pick six.

Dallas’ only points of the half came on a Jake Ferguson touchdown just as the second quarter ended..
