Aadhaar Now Accepted as Additional ID for Bihar Voters: EC's Clarification Brings Relief

This means voters in Bihar can continue to use any of the previously approved documents, such as their voter ID card (EPIC), passport, driving license, PAN card, service identity cards issued to central/state government employees, passbooks issued by banks/post offices, smart cards issued by RGI under NPR, MNAREGA job card, health insurance smart card, pension document, or official identity cards issued to MPs/MLAs/MLCs.

The inclusion of Aadhaar simply adds another layer of convenience, particularly for those who might find it easier to present their Aadhaar than other, less frequently used documents.
