It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Maryann A. Daniels (Klutsarits), a woman whose vibrant spirit and unwavering love touched countless lives. Maryann, 83, departed from this world on Monday, June 10, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of cherished memories and a family deeply devoted to her.
She was a longtime resident of Whitehall Township, having previously resided in Allentown, and her presence illuminated every room she entered.
For an incredible 53 years, Maryann was the beloved wife and soulmate of Michael Daniels. Their enduring partnership was a testament to love, commitment, and mutual respect, forming the bedrock of a beautiful family.
Together, they raised two devoted children: Michelle Marakovits and her husband Brian of Allentown, and Michael Daniels Jr. and his wife Angela of Whitehall. Maryann’s greatest joys were her five adoring grandchildren: Alexandra, Brooke, Jacob, Noah, and Adam. She reveled in their accomplishments, celebrated their milestones, and showered them with boundless affection, truly embracing her role as a doting grandmother.
Born on April 25, 1941, in Allentown, Maryann was the cherished daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Petko) Klutsarits.
She grew up in a loving home alongside her siblings, Joseph Klutsarits and his wife Joan of Allentown, Ann Marie Grello and her husband Ken of Whitehall, and the late John Klutsarits. Family bonds were always paramount to Maryann, a value she carried throughout her life.

She was a proud graduate of Central Catholic High School and further honed her skills at Allentown Business School. Her career began as a dedicated stenographer at PP&L, where she contributed her talents for many years. Later, she served as a beloved secretary for the Whitehall-Coplay School District, working at both Steckel and Zephyr Elementary Schools until her well-deserved retirement in 2006.
Her colleagues and students remember her as a warm, organized, and supportive presence.
Beyond her professional life, Maryann cultivated a rich tapestry of hobbies and passions. She found immense joy in crocheting, creating beautiful pieces that were often treasured gifts for her loved ones. An avid reader, she could often be found lost in the pages of a good book, and she enjoyed the challenge and satisfaction of completing puzzles.
Her adventurous spirit also led her to frequent trips to the casino, where she enjoyed the thrill of the games. Maryann was a passionate fan of Philadelphia sports, cheering enthusiastically for her beloved Phillies and Eagles, often sharing these moments with her family.
A woman of deep faith, Maryann was a devoted member of St.
Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, providing guidance and comfort, and she actively participated in her church community. Her kindness, generosity, and loving nature left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Maryann's departure leaves a void that can never be filled, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
We will forever cherish her infectious laugh, her comforting presence, and the countless lessons of love and resilience she imparted. She taught us the importance of family, the joy of simple pleasures, and the strength found in unwavering faith.
