A Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary With Just 3,500 Miles on It Just Went Up for Grabs

Have you ever imagined owning the most polished version of the Lamborghini Countach? A striking black 1989 Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary Edition has recently been auctioned on Bring a Trailer. Notably, this iconic supercar seems to be in splendid condition, clocking only 3,500 miles. Undeniably, the Countach has greatly contributed to the Lamborghini brand's reputation. Launched in 1974, the wedge-shaped speedster set the trend for all subsequent Lamborghini supercars, including the Revuelto plug-in hybrid, its latest model. The remarkable V12 enjoyed a production run of 16 years, during which five distinct models were manufactured, the capping one being the 25th Anniversary Edition. Unveiled in 1988, the last Countach boasted a redesigned look, thanks to Horacio Pagani, the future hypercar maker founder of Pagani Automobil. This U.S. model of the 25th Anniversary Edition is one of only 658 units produced before production came to a halt in 1990. Its revamped body, the most flamboyant and aerodynamic to date, is decked out in a sleek black finish, along with 17-inch multi-piece racing wheels. The latest owner replaced the stocky bumper with the slick European model and removed the rear wing. Inside, the typically uncomfortable two-seat cabin is luxuriously outfitted in matching black leather, inclusive of an upholstered dashboard. Despite the makeover, the beast still runs the same engine - a powerful 5.2 liter V-12, like its predecessor, the LP500 Quattrovalvolve. The engine delivers a whopping 449 hp and 369 ft-lbs of torque, channeled to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual gearbox. With an acceleration of 0-62 mph in 4.5 seconds and a top speed of 185 mph, it is a force to reckon with. Remarkably, having clocked 35 years, the car still remains in a pristine condition, with a mere 3,500 miles showing on the odometer and spotlessly clean Carfax report. With less than 10 days of bidding remaining, the black Countach 25th Anniversary has already gotten a bid of $388,888 which is anticipated to rise with time.
