80 year old woman surfs for the first time, granddaughter records video

At 80 years old, one grandmother is showing that age really is just a number. A video uploaded to Instagram features the woman catching a wave for the first time, guided by her granddaughter. The action-packed video was shared by granddaughter Brisa Hennessy, a Costa Rican Olympic athlete. Hennessy captioned the post: “This is 80! It’s never too late to catch a wave, it’s never too late. So special sharing my happy place with my grandma”.

The video, showing the elderly woman successfully surfing with the assistance of her granddaughter, was posted a few days ago and has already amassed nearly 1.8 million views. Along with the impressive number of views, the video has garnered many comments.
